  • Chicken broth for basting – Keeps the turkey extra moist during roasting.
  • Minced garlic – Intensifies the buttery garlicky goodness.

Instructions

Prep the Turkey

  • Remove the turkey breast from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes—this helps it cook evenly.
  • Pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin when roasting.

Make the Creole Butter Marinade

  • In a small bowl, whisk together:
  • Melted butter
  • Olive oil
  • Creole seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and thyme
  • Lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce for a tangy depth of flavor.
  • Mix well until all the spices are incorporated into the buttery marinade.

Season the Turkey

  • Gently lift the skin of the turkey breast and rub half of the Creole butter mixture directly onto the meat—this locks in flavor.
  • Massage the remaining marinade over the entire surface of the turkey, making sure to coat all sides evenly.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Roast to Perfection

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the turkey breast on a roasting pan with a rack, skin-side up. If you don’t have a rack, a bed of sliced onions or carrots works too!
  • Pour ½ cup of chicken broth into the bottom of the pan—this keeps the turkey moist.
  • Roast uncovered for 60–75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
  • Baste every 20 minutes with the pan juices for extra juiciness.

Rest & Serve

  • Once done, tent the turkey breast with foil and let it rest for 10–15 minutes. This step allows the juices to redistribute, keeping every bite moist.
  • Slice against the grain and serve warm with your favorite Southern-style sides!
