Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 8 oz 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/4 cup fruit puree strawberry, mango, etc.

For the Shell:

  • 4 flour tortillas 8-inch
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar for coating
  • Oil for deep frying

Optional Toppings:

  • Chocolate sauce or caramel drizzle
  • Powdered sugar
  • Fresh berries
  • Whipped cream
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in any fruit puree if using.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
  • Lay a tortilla flat, spread 2–3 tablespoons of filling along one edge, and roll tightly like a burrito. Secure ends with a toothpick if needed.

Heat the Oil:

  • In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Test with a small tortilla piece—it should sizzle instantly.

Fry Until Golden:

  • Fry the rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.

Add the Finishing Touches:

  • While still warm, roll in cinnamon sugar. Drizzle with sauces and add toppings as desired.

Notes

  • Filling Ideas: Try adding Nutella, peanut butter, or chopped nuts for extra flair.
  • Healthier Twist: Air fry at 375°F for 8 minutes (brush lightly with oil).
  • Make Ahead: Fill and roll tortillas ahead of time, then fry when ready to serve
